Shadow Light Productions Ltd (SLP) was established with lead partners, Doug Latimer and Rachel Gauk in 2003, to produce commercial and educational content, documentaries and public service announcements (PSA) for television and clientele.

Their first documentary, The Vanishing Ice, premiered at Hot Docs International Film Festival in Toronto, and aired on CBC Country Canada, with distribution by FilmWest Associates.

Their Jasper National Park hour-long documentary, aired across North America, on CLT, ACCESS, CBC’s Country Canada and The Travel Channel in the U.S.

SLP are also specialists in creating and coordinating large scale video projects (like their Raising Our Healthy Kids collection of over 70 short, snappy English and French health-based videos, in collaboration with Alberta Health Services and the Dietitians of Canada, airing on CTV). Their skills extend to researching and producing historical videos for museum theatrical and web use (such as their recent video series for the Alberta Museums Association).

Most of all, they love working with people to creatively and effectively capture their stories!
